Consultation is offered with Dr. Thomas a leading expert in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery. We offer the ability of a full complement of physician-related services and we will order an necessary test required in your care to make it as easy as possible for our patients. Q. What are your hours? A. 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and by appointment at other times. Q. How soon can I get an appointment? A: You can call our appointment desk at 504-889-7200and ask for an appointment with Dr. Thomas. Special care is taken to expedite every appointment. We can arrange hotel accommodations for out of town and international patients. Q. Do I need to bring anything to my appointment? A. Yes. You will need to bring all of your completed patient questionnaires. These questionnaires are available to be downloaded on the website or you may call the office (504-889-7200) and we will be happy to mail you any necessary forms. It is also important that you bring any x-rays, MRI, CT scan or any other films regarding your condition that you may have. This includes the official radiology reports and the actual films. Q. How long will my appointment take? A. A new patient appointment generally takes about 60 minutes. This time allows for paper work to be completed, physician interview and examination, and X-rays to be taken if needed. Q. How are emergencies handled after hours? Is there another doctor that sometimes takes call or covers for Dr. Thomas doctor? A. Yes. Our physicians are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call our main office number, (504) 889-7200, for assistance. Prescriptions are refilled during office hours only not after hours or weekends. Q. What Insurance do you take? A. All major insurance carriers. Q. What payment methods do you accept? A. Visa, MasterCard, Cash, and Personal Checks.
